You might experience problems when using your smartphone's Wi-Fi Direct app to connect. Follow the steps below to address the issue:
NOTE: Your smartphone must be the first device to connect to the printer Wi-Fi Direct network. If other devices are already connected, disconnect them, then reconnect after the SAMSUNG GALAXY S II Smartphone is connected.
- From your printer, select Network Settings > Manage Wi-Fi Direct > Start Wi-Fi Direct, then press OK.
- Select View Wi-Fi Direct Configuration.
- Make sure the channel is 1, 6, or 11. If it is not, reset the network. See .
- Press OK to return to the Manage Wi-Fi Direct screen. Stay on this screen; do not navigate to another screen.
- From your smartphone, select Settings > Wireless and Network > Wi-Fi Direct Settings. Your smartphone will scan for an available device.
- When your printer name (such as ESP 3.2+xxxx) is displayed, select Connect to this device, then select Connect.
- From your printer, when you see the pop-up screen, select Yes within 5 seconds to allow your printer to connect to your smartphone.
NOTE: If you restart your printer after you set up the connection, you may need to reconnect from your smartphone because your phone may not remember the last connection session.
