- Turn off the printer.
- On the back of the printer, confirm that you removed the Fax and Ethernet protection plugs that shipped with the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Try printing again.
If the error continues:
- Disconnect all USB devices from the printer.
- Make sure that the USB device you are trying to connect to the printer is functioning properly. Try a different USB device, if needed.
If you got this error but no USB devices are connected to the printer, a firmware update would be needed. We're sorry, but those are no longer available.
