1. Turn off the printer.
  2. On the back of the printer, confirm that you removed the Fax and Ethernet protection plugs that shipped with the printer.
  3. Turn on the printer.
  4. Try printing again.

If the error continues:

  1. Disconnect all USB devices from the printer.
  2. Make sure that the USB device you are trying to connect to the printer is functioning properly. Try a different USB device, if needed.

If you got this error but no USB devices are connected to the printer, a firmware update would be needed. We're sorry, but those are no  longer available.
