You can adjust the print quality mode to Draft, Normal, or Best when printing documents. When printing on photo paper, print quality is set automatically to Best.


For WINDOWS XP, VISTA, or WINDOWS 7 OS:

  1. Select Start, then choose Run.
  2. Type control printers, then click OK or press Enter.
  3. Right-click the icon for your all-in-one printer, then select Printing Preferences.
  4. Under Print Quality:
    • Select Draft for the fastest print speed.
    • Select Normal for good quality output; prints faster than Best.
    • Select Best for the highest quality.
  5. Click Apply, then click OK.

For MAC OS:

  1. Open the document you want to print, then select File > Print
  2. In the drop-down menu, select Printer Options
  3. In the Plain Paper Quality:
    • Select Draft for the fastest print speed.
    • Select Normal for good quality output; prints faster than Best. 
    • Select Best for the highest quality. 
  4. Click Print.
