Check that you are loading the original fax documents correctly:
- If you are using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), make sure the printed side of the original is face up in the feeder tray. The original will feed through the ADF during faxing. If the document does not feed through the ADF, see .
NOTE: The ADF is not available on all models. - Verify that the packing tissue is removed from the scanner glass.
- When using the scanner glass, place the original (printed side) face down.
If the received fax pages are blank again:
- Make a copy of the fax original using your all-in-one printer:
- Place the fax original in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) or on the scanner glass as described above.
- Press Home.
- Press Black START or Color START.
- If the copied document prints satisfactorily:
- Press Fax.
- With Fax Options selected, press OK.
- Adjust the fax resolution and brightness settings based on your fax original:
- Press the down arrow to select Resolution. The resolution setting determines the amount of detail that is transmitted.
- Press the right or left arrow to select the resolution:
- Standard (default) for most documents
- Fine for documents with fine print
- Photo for photographs
- Press the down arrow to select Brightness.
- Press the left or right arrow to change the brightness from Normal.
- To lighten the original, select either +1, +2, or +3.
- To darken the original, select either -1, -2, or -3.
NOTE: These settings apply only to the fax you are sending.
- To save the new settings as defaults:
- Press the down arrow to select Save as Defaults, then press OK.
- Select Yes, then press OK.
- Press START to send the fax.
