To resolve the message:
- Press Cancel from the printer control panel.
- Type the correct User ID and password for your Email Profile using the Online Printer Management Tool.
- From your computer, open your preferred Web browser (such as Internet Explorer).
- Type your printer IP Address in the browser address (URL) bar, then press Enter.
- Select Settings > Scan to Email > Email Profile.
- Select your email profile from the list, then select Edit.
- Make sure to type the correct User ID and password for SMTP Authentication.
- Select The email sever requires authentication for outgoing email check box.
- Type the User ID and password that you use to log on to your email.
- Select Test Profile.
- If the message Test Profile: failed appears, see
- If the message Test Profile: success appears, the result is successful; select OK.
- Scroll down and select SAVE to save the profile.
- Try to use the Scan to Email feature again from your printer control panel.
