If your all-in-one printer does not support network WIA (WINDOWS Image Acquisition), and is connected to a network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), the printer will not be visible in the available device list for scanning if you are using WIA drivers such as MICROSOFT Paint or WINDOWS Fax and Scan.

This software is now discontinued and no updates are available.

You can still use WIA drivers (such as MICROSOFT Paint or WINDOWS Fax and Scan) to scan, connect your printer using a high-speed USB 2.0 cable.

  • Customers will experience this issue on legacy printers (Easyshare 5000 series, ESP 3, 5, 7, 9, 3250, 5250, 5210, Office 6150, 7250, or 9250), as the Home Center Software (v6.x or earlier) does not support network WIA for these printers at this time.
  • Customers who have the new printers (such as ESP C115, C315, Office 2150, Office 2170 and later) should not experience this issue, as the latest Home Center Software, v6.x or later, supports network WIA for these new printers.
