To resolve the error condition:
- Select OK, if prompted to select OK or Cancel.
- If the scan is not successful, from the "Select the kind of item you would like to scan" area, select Picture instead of Document.
- Follow the prompts to scan.
If failure messages continue to occur when you scan documents or pictures:
- Turn off the printer.
- Wait 30 seconds, then turn on the printer.
- Restart Home Center Software.
- Try to scan again.
