Locating the IP Address for your WINDOWS computer:

  1. Select  Start > Run and type cmd in the window. The command line window will be displayed.
  2. Type  ipconfig.
  3. Press the Enter key.
  4. Write down the following information that is displayed:
    • The IP Address of the Gateway Server
    • The IP Address of your computer

      • An IP Address will appear as four sets of numbers separated by periods (.). For example, 192.168.1.10.
  5. Close the command line window.


Locating the Network Settings and assigning the IP Address for your printer:

  1. Use the printer control panel and navigate by pressing and scrolling:
    • Home (Menu) > Network Settings > Advanced IP Address Setup.
    • Press  OK on the control panel.
  2. Select  Manual Static.
  3. Enter the IP Address for the printer:
    • Be sure to create an IP Address for the printer that does not conflict with the Gateway IP Address. For example, 192.168.1.255.
    • The numbers you may choose must be between 0 and 255.
  4. Enter the Subnet Mask as: 255.255.255.0
  5. Enter the Gateway Address for your computer.
    • The DNS Address will be all zeroes (0).

      NOTE: If prompted to enter a DNS Address, enter the IP Address of the Gateway Address that you recorded in Step 4 of the Locating the IP Address procedure above.

  6. Verify that the printer accepted the IP address:
    1. From your printer, select  Home (Menu) > Network settings > View Network Configuration.
    2. Scroll down and record the IP address that is listed.
    3. From your computer, select  Start > Run > cmd, then click OK.
    4. Type the IP address from Step 2, then press the Enter key to ping the printer.

      NOTE: If the IP Address is not listed, repeat Step 3 to enter the IP Address for the printer again.
  7. Reconnect your printer to your network.
  8. Reconnect your printer using the printer network setup utility.
  9. Choose how you want to connect to the network (WiFi or Ethernet).
