Yes. If the camera does not have a memory card inserted, it automatically saves the picture to the available internal memory. If the internal memory is full, an error message will display, and you cannot take any more pictures. The error message remains until the pictures are erased or transferred to a computer, the internal memory is reformatted, or a memory card with available memory is inserted into the camera.
