This error occurs only when you use an off-brand replacement battery in your camera instead of a KODAK KLIC-7000 Series Li-Ion Rechargeable Digital Camera Battery.
The off-brand battery may contain a temperature-sensing component that does not meet typical specifications for digital camera use. This temperature-sensing component tricks the camera into registering that the battery is running at a higher temperature than it actually is.
To resolve this problem, use a KODAK Li-Ion rechargeable battery.
