The Wi-Fi light blinks when the printer is searching for a connection or when the existing signal is too weak to transmit.
- If you are connected with a LAN or USB cable, turn off the Wi-Fi radio. On the printer control panel:
- Press the Menu (or Cancel) button.
- Scroll to Network Settings, then press OK.
- Scroll to Turn WiFi Radio Off, then press OK.
- If you are using the printer with a wireless connection, the Wi-Fi light may blink because the printer cannot make a connection to the router or access point. The printer will automatically reconnect when the problem at the host is resolved and the printer Wi-Fi radio is on. You should not need to do anything. The Wi-Fi light will be on and not blinking when a normal connection to the router or access point is established.
Note: The printer cannot detect a connection problem between your computer and router or access point.
- The blink cycle is on a 0.5 second interval.
- If no connection is made, the light will blink for 7 seconds, be off for 15 seconds, then blink for another 7 seconds. This blinking will continue until the Wi-Fi is turned off or a connection is made.
