To resolve:

  1. Power cycle the printer:
    NOTE: Make sure the printer access door is closed.
    1. Disconnect the power adapter from the printer. 
    2. Wait 5 seconds to allow the printer to reset. 
    3. Connect the power adapter to the printer. Turn the printer on if necessary.
  2. Test the scan function by making a copy, using the control panel on the all-in-one printer:
    Select Home >Copy Document .
     If Then
     The error recurs when making a copy. There is a problem with the hardware. 
     The copy completes correctly. Continue to the next step.
     
  3. Try scanning again.

  4. If the issue persists, try:
    • Use the printer control panel to initiate scanning.
    • Connect the all-in-one printer to your computer using a USB cable instead of Wi-Fi.
