To resolve the error:



  1. Press the On/Off button on your printer control panel to turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.
  3. Wait 10 seconds to allow the printer to reset.
  4. Connect the power cable to the printer.
  5. Turn the printer on by pressing the On/Off button.  
  6. If the error continues:
    1. Open the printer access door.
    2. Remove and install the printhead (illustrated instructions are given in ).
    3. Close the printer access door.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the printhead.  


If this does not resolve the issue, the printhead needs to be replaced. These printers are out of service as of 2019 and there are no longer any printheads available.
