There are a few options for transferring pictures. You can use:

  • the USB cable that came with your camera
  • a memory card that contains your pictures

For a computer with WINDOWS Operating System:

NOTE: Because of the type of user interface for WINDOWS 8 OS, you can follow the prompts when you connect your camera's USB cable or insert a memory card in the instructions below. Instructions specific to WINDOWS 8 OS are not provided here.

  1. Make sure the power to your camera is off.
  2. Do oneof the following:
    • Connect your camera to the computer using the USB cable that came with your camera, then turn on the power to your camera.
    • Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a memory card reader (either built in to the computer or externally connected to the computer).
  3. When a dialog box appears:
    • For WINDOWS XP OS, click Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, click OK, then follow the prompts.
    • For WINDOWS VISTA OS, click Import pictures, then follow the prompts.
    • For WINDOWS 7 OS, click Import pictures and videos using Windows, then follow the prompts.

    • If a dialog box does not appear, you can import your pictures and videos to your computer using WINDOWS Explorer:

      1. Click My Computer (or Start > My Computer) to start WINDOWS Explorer.
      2. Right-click either your digital camera or the memory card, then follow the prompts to import your pictures.  

For a computer with MAC OS:

  1. Make sure the power to your camera is off.
  2. Do oneof the following:
    • Connect your camera to the computer using the USB cable that came with your camera, then turn on the power to your camera.
    • Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a memory card reader (either built in to the computer or externally connected to the computer).
  3. Open iPhoto from the dock or the Applications folder.
  4. Enter the "Roll Name" and "Description" for the pictures.
  5. Click Import.
