This error may occur because your scanned files are too big, and your computer system is running out of resources to complete the save.

To resolve the error:

Reduce the number of files you are saving to one pdf file.
Scan individual pages and save each separately.
Close any unnecessary programs to increase the amount of available system resource, sand try to scan and save multiple files again.
