To resolve:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Try to install your printer with a USB cable again.

If the problem continues,

  1. Try to restart the Print Spooler service:
    1. Select  Start > Run.
    2. Type services.msc, then click OK.
    3. Scroll to and select Print Spooler, then click Restart the service.
  2. If the problem continues, restart the computer.
