Industry standards do not allow for the creation of a continuous 32 GB video file. Video files are bridged, meaning that they are captured in 2 GB segments for VGA resolution or 4 GB segments for HD resolution (720p or 1080p). This happens automatically and is not noticeable by the user when the video is captured. Because a bridged file is limited by size, not time, a bridged segment contains more recording time for a VGA resolution than an HD resolution video file.
A bridged file will appear on your computer as a single video file if you use a USB cable and Kodak ArcSoft Print Creations software to transfer the file from your camera to your computer. However, if you use a card reader to copy a bridged file to your computer, the video will appear as a group of separate files. You will need to edit the files together using a 3rd party software which Kodak does not provide or support.
