To resolve the problem:

  1. Turn off and then turn on your computer and printer.
  2. If the problem continues:
    1. On your computer, select Start > Run.
    2. Type Services.msc, then click OK.
    3. Scroll down and right-click Print Spooler, then select Restart.
    4. Scroll down and right-click Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator.
    5. Click Properties, then select Automatic from the Service type pull-down.
    6. Right-click Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator, then select Restart.
