- Turn off the printer.
- Clear the printer queue:
WINDOWS 7 or VISTA - Select Start > Devices and Printer.
- Double-click your printer in the list.
The Printer Status appears. - Double-click the See what's printing link.
The Printer Queue appears in a new window. - Select Printer > Cancel All Documents
WINDOWS XP - Select Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes.
- Double-click your printer in the list.
The Printer Queue appears in a new window. - Select Printer > Cancel All Documents
- Close the KODAK Status Monitor:
- Right-click the KODAK Printer icon in the WINDOWS Desktop System Tray.
- Select Exit.
- Turn off the Bidirectional Printing option:
WINDOWS 7 or VISTA - Select Start > Devices and Printer.
- Right-click your printer and select Properties.
- Select the Ports tab.
- Clear the check box next to Enable bidirectional support, then click Apply.
- Click OK.
WINDOWS XP - Select Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click your printer and select Properties.
- Select the Ports tab.
- Clear the check box next to Enable bidirectional support, then click Apply.
- Click OK.
- Restart the Print Spooler:
- Select Start > Run
- Type services.msc, then click OK.
- Right-click Print Spooler in the list, then select Restart.
- Turn on the printer.
- Follow the printer LCD prompts to clear any error conditions.
- Try to print again.
If the error continues, follow the instructions for your connection type, either wired or wireless.
Wired connection (USB or Ethernet):
- Disconnect the cable from your computer, then reconnect it.
NOTE: If you are using a USB cable, make sure it is a high-speed 2.0 cable and it is in good condition. - Send the print job again.
- If the error continues, check whether a KODAK Printer is listed in your Printers and Faxes area.
- If yes, delete the printer.
- Select Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes (or Start > Printers and Faxes).
- Right-click your KODAK Printer and select Delete.
- Continue to step 4.
- If no, continue with step 4.
- If yes, delete the printer.
- Select Start > Programs > Kodak > KODAK Printer Setup Utility.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer.
Wireless connection:
- Restart your printer (turn the power off, then back on).
- Follow the steps in Chapter 2 of the Extended User Guide to set up the wireless printer.
- Make sure the printer and computer have strong Wi-Fi signals (60% or greater).
NOTE: To increase the signal strength, move the printer and computer closer to the wireless router.
