IMPORTANT: Scanning speed is affected by:

  • the settings you make using your scanning application software
  • the version of USB cable you use to connect your scanner to your computer
  • your computer processor, memory and operating system

Do the following to improve the scanning speed:

  1. Open your scanning application software, and adjust one or more of the scanning settings (dpi, contrast, brightness, etc.) to a lower value.
  2. Check that you are using a USB 2.0 cable to connect your scanner to your computer. If necessary, replace the cable with a USB 2.0 cable.
  3. Verify that your computer system meets the following minimum requirements: 
    • Processor: Core Duo 2.1 GHz
    • Memory: 2 GB of RAM
    • Connection: USB 2.0 cable
    • Supported operating systems:
      • MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 (32-bit & 64-bit)
      • MICROSOFT WINDOWS VISTA with SP2 (32-bit  & 64 bit)
      • MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP with SP3 (32-bit & 64-bit)

Upgrade your computer system if necessary.
