You can create backup copies of your pictures for safekeeping. Just copy them from your digital frame to your computer.
You should back up files:

  • Before installing a firmware update, and
  • On a regular basis to safeguard pictures that are precious to you
  1. Using an optional accessory USB cable U-5A, connect your frame to the computer. For details, see your Extended User Guide.
The frame appears as a drive on your computer desktop.
  2. On your computer, drag and drop JPG files (your pictures) or folders from the frame to a meaningful place on your computer.
The pictures are copied to your computer.
NOTE: Do not copy the folder called "dbbd." (The dbbd folder is created on your frame after a firmware upgrade.)
  3. When you're finished copying, turn off the frame.
  4. Disconnect the USB cable, then turn on the frame.
  5. If a new firmware version is available, follow the procedure for updating the frame's firmware.

If you inadvertently delete pictures from your frame, copy the backup versions from the computer back to the frame.
