The Actiontec/Qwest M1000, PK5000, GT701WG ADSL, and MI424WR modem/routers do not support the multicast protocol, which is needed for the all-in-one printer to be easily detected on the wireless network.

We are working with Actiontec to resolve this issues. Contact your router supplier for the latest information regarding multicast support.

The following options can help you work around this issue:
  1. Connect your printer to your computer using a USB 2.0 cable.
  2. Use a router that supports the multicast protocol (the majority of routers support the multicast protocol; the Actiontec router is one of a few routers that do not at this time).
  3. Follow the procedure below to enable printing and to possibly enable scanning.
If scanning is not possible, connect with a USB cable until Actiontec has a solution.
