You cannot use your printer on your home wireless network to print immediately with a VPN connected.

When a computer is connected to a VPN or other secure corporate work network, it is not possible to wirelessly use the printer connected to your home network for immediate printing. Connecting to a VPN means you are inside your work network and not your home network.

Before using your all-in-one printer, you must first disconnect the VPN:

  1. Right-click the icon for your VPN.
  2. Select Disconnect from VPN.

You can  immediately use your printer with a wired connection by connecting a USB cable between your computer and your all-in-one printer.

NOTE: After a print queue is set up for your wireless printer, you can be connected to a VPN and print to your home printer queue. The print jobs will be spooled in that queue for printing later. When you disconnect from the VPN, your print jobs in the queue will then print to your all-in-one printer on your home wireless network.
