For specialty papers, you can use the manual settings to find the Paper Type selection that works best for the paper you are using and for your quality expectations. When printing photos on plain paper, use the Best quality setting to improve the color quality of your prints. 

To change the paper type setting:

  1. Open the file that you want to print.
  2. Select the print option from your application.
  3. Select your all-in-one printer from the available printer list.
  4. Click Properties or Preferences.
  5. Select the Advanced tab.
  6. Under "Paper type", select a paper that is appropriate for your print job, then click OK.
  7. Click OK to print.
