This error message indicates that you stopped the print job, or that the carriage cannot move freely. To resolve this error condition:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper jam.
  3. Verify that your paper is loaded correctly. See the User's Guide for your printer for more information.
  4. Verify that the paper path is not blocked.
  5. Verify that your paper is clean, flat, and has uniform edges.
  6. Verify that you can move the carriage backward and forward freely.
  7. Turn on the printer.
