To resolve the error code 2006 when scanning at a resolution higher than 300:
  1. On the Status Monitor (on your computer), cancel the scan, then press Cancel on the printer control panel.
  2. In the Home Center Software, set the Resolution to 150 dpi.
  3. Turn off the printer and remove the power connection from the back of the printer for 30 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power to the printer and turn on the printer's power.
  5. Scan again.
  6. After scanning is working, increase the resolution to the setting you want and scan again.
