Resetting the printing system on a computer with MAC OS may resolve printer connectivity issues. To reset the printing system, you must log in as the administrator of your computer.

IMPORTANT: The following steps will delete all print queues installed on your computer, including third-party printer queues.

  1. Under the Apple icon, select System Preferences.
  2. Select Print & Fax in the Hardware field.
  3. Control-click on the printer in use.
  4. Select "Reset printing system...".
  5. When the "Are you sure you want to reset the printing system?" prompt is displayed, click OK.
  6. When prompted, enter your password, click OK. The printing system will be reset.
  7. Disconnect the printer power cord from the power source.
  8. Connect the printer power cord to the power source and turn on the printer.
    If the printer is connected using a USB cable, a print queue is automatically added for this printer.

Adding a print queue for printers on a Ethernet or wireless network:

  1. Under the Apple icon, select System Preferences.
  2. Select Print & Fax in the Hardware field.
  3. Click the "+" sign to add a new printer.
  4. Select the network printer from the list of available printers, then click Add.
    • The network printer will include Bonjour under the Kind field.
    • The network printer name will include an alpha-numeric extension after its name, for example Kodak ESP9250+1234.
  5. Quit System Preferences.
