The White Balance feature improves your pictures by making the lighting more accurate. Without White Balance, pictures in snow may have a blue tint; tungsten (incandescent) lighting may appear orange; and fluorescent lighting may appear green.

NOTE: White Balance is typically available only when your camera is in certain modes (like Program or Panorama SCN mode). If your camera does not offer White Balance, use a flash in lighting that causes unwanted color tints.

To choose a White Balance setting on your camera:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Press the Up/Down arrow buttons to choose White Balance, then press the OK button.

NOTE: On some models, you can press the Right/Left arrow buttons to choose the White Balance setting for your lighting conditions. In that case, go to step 4.
  3. Press the Up/Down arrow buttons to choose the White Balance setting for your lighting conditions, then press the OK button.
  4. To return to picture-taking mode, press the Menu button or press the Shutter button halfway down.

NOTE: If your KODAK Camera has a touchscreen, the same principles apply. Tap the Menu icon, then White Balance.
