My computer running the WINDOWS XP Operating System does not recognize my digital camera. What is wrong and how do I fix it? Print

The computer may be set up incorrectly. Do the following to resolve this problem:

Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > System.
Select the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
Double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Right-click USB Root Hub, then select Properties.
Select the Power Management tab.
Clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box, then click OK.
Close all open windows.
Restart the computer.
