Choose one of the following options:

Use on-camera help:
  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Press the Up/Down arrows to select a menu choice.
  3. Press the Info (i) button. Read the Help text describing the menu choice. Press the Up/Down arrows to scroll.
  4. Press the shutter button halfway down to return to picture-taking mode.
Explore the features:
  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Press the Right/Left arrows to select a tab:
    • Capture: For the most common picture-taking settings
    • Video: For the most common video settings
    • Setup: For other camera settings
  3. Press the Up/Down arrow button to select a setting, then press OK.
  4. Select an option, then press OK.
    NOTE: Not all settings are available in all picture-taking and video modes.
Capture tab:
  • Exposure Compensation: Make a picture lighter or darker.
  • Picture Size: Choose a picture resolution.
  • Self-timer/Burst: Take a picture/video after a delay, or take 2 pictures. Or take up to 3 pictures in quick succession.
  • Focus Mode: Select a large or concentrated area of focus.
  • Long Time Exposure: Choose how long the shutter stays open.
  • Color Mode: Choose color tones.
  • AF Control (Still): Choose an auto-focus setting.
  • White Balance: Choose your lighting condition.
  • Face Detect Capture: Choose if faces get focus priority.
  • Exposure Metering: Evaluate light levels at specific areas of a scene.
  • AF Zone: Select a large or concentrated area of focus.
  • ISO Speed: Control the camera sensor’s sensitivity to light.
  • Sharpness: Control picture sharpness.
Video tab:
  • Video Size: Choose a video resolution.
  • Self-timer: Take a picture/video after a delay.
Setup tab:
  • Share button: Choose how pictures/videos are handled when you press the Share button (via EASYSHARE Software for WINDOWS Operating Systems only). Some online services limit video file sizes. Use EASYSHARE Software or choose another online service.
  • LCD Brightness: Choose LCD brightness.
  • Image Storage: Choose a storage location for pictures/videos.
  • Set Tag: Create tag names and assign them to pictures/videos.
  • Red Eye Reduction: Choose how you want to reduce red eye.
  • Orientation Sensor: Orient pictures/videos so that they are displayed with the correct side up.
  • Camera Sounds: Choose sound effects and volume.
  • Date & Time: Set the date and time.
  • Video Out: Choose the regional setting that lets you connect the camera to a television or other external device.
  • Language: Choose your language.

    CAUTION: Formatting deletes all pictures/videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card.
  • Format: Delete everything on the card.
  • About: View camera information.
